Privacy Policy

Table Extractor does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data. Specifically, we never receive:

• The content of any table you extract, including its headers, rows, and cells
• The text, HTML, or URL of any page you run the extension on
• Any files you export, or the contents of your clipboard
• Your name, email address, or any account information — there is no account system
• Your browsing history, either inside or outside the extension

When you click the extension icon, a content script reads the DOM of the page you are currently viewing in order to find tabular structures. This analysis happens entirely within your browser. Detected tables are shown in a preview inside the extension popup, where you can pick columns and clean the data before exporting.

Detection, cleaning, preview, and export all use JavaScript that runs on your own device. The extension has no backend of its own, and no table data is logged, cached remotely, or analysed by us. The one nuance: if you point Table Extractor at a published Google Sheets embed or an inline PDF, it fetches that specific published document directly from the platform you are already viewing (e.g. Google) purely to read the data back into the preview. That request is always tied to the exact document you asked to extract, carries no personal data, and never goes to any server we operate.

The extension saves a small amount of configuration in your browser's local extension storage so your preferences survive between sessions. This data stays on your device and is never uploaded:

• Your settings, such as theme and export preferences
• Column selections you make for a site, stored per domain and matched by column name
• A local history of recent extractions, which you can clear at any time
• The size and position of the extension popup window

Table Extractor requests the minimum permissions needed to function, and each one maps to a specific feature:

• Access to page content — required to read the DOM and find tables on the page you are viewing
• Storage — used to remember your settings and column preferences locally
• Downloads — used only to save the file when you choose to export a table
• Scripting — used to run the detection script on the active tab when you click the icon

This website may use Google Analytics (with IP anonymization) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visit the site and which pages are read. This applies to the website only, not to the extension: analytics never find out which pages you extract tables from, or what those tables contain. Google Analytics is only loaded after you approve it in the consent banner you'll see on your first visit; you are always free to decline.

Google Analytics sets cookies only after you accept the banner, which satisfies the applicable cookie-consent rules for our visitors in the EU/UK. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can revoke it at any time by clearing your site data or using your browser's privacy controls or a content blocker.

The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store, which is operated by Google and governed by Google's own privacy policy. If you install the extension from the store, Google may process installation and update information as part of delivering the listing. We do not receive personal information from that process.

Table Extractor includes no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking pixels of any kind.

Because the extension does not transmit your data anywhere, there is no server-side store of your tables to breach. Your extracted data and preferences exist only on your own device, protected by your browser's and operating system's own security controls.

You can remove all locally stored extension data at any time by clearing the extension's history, or by uninstalling the extension.

Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to disclose, correct, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control of your own data:

• Clear your extraction history from within the extension at any time
• Remove saved column preferences per site, or clear all extension data at once
• Uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored locally
• Block website analytics with your browser's standard privacy controls

Table Extractor is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Table Extractor processes data locally on your device, regardless of where you are located. Your table data is not transferred across borders: except for the optional fetch of a published Google Sheets embed or inline PDF you deliberately open (described above), no table data leaves your browser.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised "last updated" date, and significant changes will also be noted in the extension's release notes on the Chrome Web Store.
